Take 1: Though not about flatulence, A Mighty Wind does feature Christopher Guest’s band of rascals doing a mockumentary lovingly devoted to American folk music. Enjoy The New Main Street Singers and peak for “A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow.”
Take 2: Mockumentary is a form of love. A Mighty Wind is an untrue story about how folk music completes a certain kind of person. It’s brilliance lay in the way ignorant viewers assume it’s journalism.
