It’s a Western, sort of, and it’s bonkers. Combine a gunfighter with a naked boy, dwarfs, opaque symbolism, religious extremism, violence, maimed bodies, disease, surreal imagery, and a climactic self-immolation. El Topo: you’ll be sorry if you (don’t) see it?
